Great place to learn to dance!

I really love the friendly atmosphere at DanceFree and ended up getting 40 hours of private lessons. Since this trip was all about learning dancing and Spanish, I knew I would use all the hours and will probably buy more before all is said and done. There are many instructors and you're free to try as many as you want to find a good fit or style you like. I tried many and I personally change up between 4 instructors for private lessons, depending on availability. If you don't want to pay for private lessons to see if you'll like how an instructor dances, you can go to the open dance after the group lesson and see how they dance there. Many of the instructors go to the dances. The group lesson is great, but super crowded to begin with (a sign of their popularity). You don't have to get there early if you don't want to, the way they do their group classes is that that they have about 45 minutes for basics with everyone involved and then they break into three groups (Beginner, intermediate, and advanced). In my opinion, the break out session is where you'll learn a lot. After the lessons, you can practice at the open dance and there are dancers of all skill levels there so you don't have to be shy about asking someone to dance. Overall, 5/5 stars! I will come back when I'm in Medellin next time! - Hieu L., September, 2018
